What we collect

Information you give us

• Your name and phone number, when you call or submit the callback form.
• The location of the job: the address, unit or cross street where you need us.
• What you need done, and for vehicle work, the make, model, year and vehicle identification number.
• Proof of entitlement: before we open any property or vehicle we check photo identification and a document connecting you to it. We check these documents; we do not need to keep copies of them beyond what a job record requires.

Information collected automatically

• Call records held by our telephone provider, such as the number that called and when.
• Basic website analytics: pages viewed, approximate region, device type and the site that referred you. This is used to understand which pages help people and which do not.

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and this site is not directed at them.

Why we use it

• To answer your call, quote the job and get a technician to the right place.
• To verify that a property or vehicle belongs to the person asking us to open it. This one is not optional: it is what protects you.
• To keep a record of work carried out, for our own accounts and for any follow-up.
• To improve this website and the information on it.

We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Who we share it with

Only where it is needed to do the work or to run the business: the technician attending your job, our telephone and website providers, our payment processor, and our accountant. Each is given the minimum they need. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, such as a valid legal request from law enforcement.

How long we keep it

Job records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and insurance purposes, and then deleted. Callback requests that do not become jobs are kept only as long as it takes to deal with the enquiry.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies needed to make it work and to measure traffic in aggregate. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still function. If we add advertising or tracking cookies in future, this policy will be updated before they are switched on.
